Melanie Warren,
VP Corporate Sales
Melanie attended York University in Toronto where she completed her BA. Her experience in advertising and marketing is vast and includes work overseas promoting and supporting the sales of some of the largest animal health clinic accounts across the UK. Family and fate brought her back to Canada in 2007 where she took on the role of General Manager for SNAP Newmarket. Over her two-year period as GM, Melanie successfully grew sales by over 98%. Melanie has since transitioned into a corporate role and now heads up the Regional and National Advertising division. Her past experience in international sales as well as her grassroots understanding of local community-centric PR, marketing and advertising enables her to direct and lead this department with true passion and steadfast confidence.
Jeff Hieminga,
Business Development Director
Jeff’s sales, marketing and publishing expertise has been honed over the last 10 years. The bulk of those years were spent in trade publishing for the sports industry, where he ran magazine and newsletter business units for a leading trade publisher. Jeff was also the director of marketing and Communications for the Canadian Sporting Goods Association – a non-profit association that represents retailers, suppliers and sales reps in the sporting goods industry – before he moved up into the role of Executive Director. In that role, Jeff was responsible for the association’s Media (trade newsletters and magazines), Events (trade shows), Membership and Member Services divisions. Jeff was also the editor of Canadian Sport-trade News – the industry’s trade newsletter.
Andrea Dunn,
Executive Assistant
Representing SNAP Newmarket at the community level, Andrea developed a strong customer relations foundation through extensive event coverage and community interaction. Those skills, coupled with past management experience, lead her to join the SNAP corporate family as an Executive Assistant to Paul Dutton, President & CEO and the National Sales team. Her more than 10 years of customer service and positive attitude have made her a great fit for SNAP corporate team.
Jacqueline O'Toole,
Accounting Assistant
Jacqueline joined the SNAP financial department in early 2011 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Coming from an extensive background in bookkeeping and general accounting, she was excited to merge her skills with her longtime goal to work somewhere in the journalistic field. Accumulating over 10 years of customer service experience, she has brought not only managerial and organizational prowess to the team, but been a great source of levity for her co-workers as well.
